Hella Jongerius and Louise Schouwenberg
We have been collaborating with JongeriusLAB for quite a while and are very proud to present the first results. We jointly created a very light, translucent cloth with lettering for a beautiful window installation “A Search Behind Appearances for la Rinascente Serpentine Gallery, as well as a high density, woolen cloth with hand drawings. Both are derived from, and play with the idea of floatings and fringes.
Mae Engelgeer
It’s always an immense pleasure working with Mae. This time round, and after her inspiring trip to Japan, we worked on two kimono fabrics. Our fine and dense quality fabric fitted her kimono design perfectly. Her presentation of these kimonos at the stunnning Palazzo Francesco Turati, the Dutch Pavilion, was just exquisite.
Moooi
After our first collaboration two years ago, working on fabrics for the Tudor collection (by Joost&Kiki), we hooked up again this year to work on damast fabrics. Resulting in the ton-sur- ton damast fabrics which were showed at Spazio Savona in the new collection “The unexpected Welcome” by Marcel Wanders.
Design Academy Eindhoven
Some of our work with students of the Design Academy was presented at this year’s presentation “Touch base”; an exploration of the power of tactility. As a loyal and proud friend of the academy we work together with two students each year. We introduce the students to the world of jacquard weaving(textiles have to be explored too) and help them to realise their final graduation work.
